Default Scenarios

Overview

DupeBlocker is installed with default scenarios for Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Lead to Contact, and Lead to Account matching.  There is a Rigid and a Semi Rigid scenario for each.  These can be used as is, once DupeBlocker keys have been built, customized or deployed as desired.

• Will NOT bypass Salesforce security.  Check this box to ignore sharing rules when attempting to find duplicates.

• Create a task for warnings and assign them to the Scenario Owner.

• By default, all scenarios are NOT marked as deployed.  Check this box to deploy the scenario.

Rigid Scenarios

• Will block duplicates from being inserted
• Except in the case of Web to Lead generated inserts which will always generate warnings.  More information on Web to Lead handling can be found in DupeBlocker Advanced Functions -> Web to Lead.
• Report duplicates (create warnings and generate tasks) triggered by an update.

Semi Rigid Scenarios

• Report duplicates (create warnings and generate tasks) triggered by inserts and updates.
