DemandTools Options

File Paths:
- Applicable To:
- Allows each user to select where DemandTools files are saved
- Click the "Pick" button and browse out to the location in which the files should be saved
- If changing a file location be sure to create the folder for the data, i.e. Scenarios and include the \ at the end of the folder name
- The Replace List Directory is where the "replacelist.xml" (for use with Cleaned Account Name mapping type) and NameReplaceList.xml (for use with FirstName mapping type) are stored
- Cache Directory is where the MassEffect meta data (table and field definitions) are stored
- This feature is helpful for Vista users and for allowing multiple DemandTools users to have access to Single Table Dedupe Scenarios, Master Rules, ReplaceLists, Restore Files etc. (just change the path to a central network drive)
Organize Log Files by Salesforce Organization ID:
- Applicable To:
- Unchecked by default
- Will organize files by the Org ID, will separate Production org files and Sand Box org files
- Helpful for consultants who may be working on multiple orgs at one time

Show MassEffect field names:
- Applicable To:
- Will show the field, as named in Salesforce
- Default setting is checked
- Example: option disabled -

Use Salesforce to view objects:
- Applicable to:
- SingleTable Dedupe
- Lead -> Contact Deduplication
- Lead -> Account Deduplication
- MassImpact
- Enabled - when the icons below are clicked, Salesforce will open and display the record
- Disabled - the record information will be presented in a printable view layout.

MassEffect Batch Size:
- Applicable to:
- MassEffect
- MassImpact
- MassChange
- Default setting is 100 (can be set as high as 200)
Will send a batch of data to Salesforce for processing and significantly decrease processing time when the amount of data to process is less than the batch size
Each batch of 100 is 1 API call
Auto Login:
- Applicable to:
- When checked/enabled users will be automatically logged in without being prompted for a username and password
- Must be enabled for scheduled jobs to process
- When your password changes for Salesforce, it also changes for DemandTools. If your password changes while auto login is enabled you will not be able to gain access to DemandTools. Please contact our support team and someone will assist you.
Create Tasks for batch processes: (New in DemandTools 2.2)
- Applicable to:
- When checked/enabled open Tasks will be created for all batch jobs assigned to the user id of the person who ran the scheduled job. When the user logs into DemandTools after the completion of a scheduled job, an open task with completion information will be shown in their list of open Tasks.
- Default setting is checked
Send User emails for New/Update Tasks or Leads with assignment rules: (New in DemandTools 2.2)
- Applicable to:
- Default setting is unchecked
- When checked/enabled user emails will be triggered for new Tasks inserted via MassEffect notifying the "Assigned to" user that a task was created (same notification the user would get when you manually check the box "Send Notification Email" directly in Salesforce).
- When checked/enabled user emails will be triggered for new Leads inserted via MassEffect and a "Default Lead Assignment Rule" is selected which is structured in Salesforce to generate emails.
- This setting is saved for this session of DemandTools only to avoid accidentally sending mass emails for future inserts.
- If using Reassign Ownership with this option enabled, emails may also be sent for each object reassigned due to emails triggers in Salesforce.
Show Help Icons:
All Modules
Will place numbered life preservers throughout the modules
Help text will pop up when the mouse is scrolled over the icon
To keep help text call out on the screen place the mouse in the call out (text area)
Default Lead Assignment Rule:
- Applicable to:
- MassImpact
- MassEffect
- MassChange
- The active Lead Assignment rule in Salesforce will be available for selection.
- If the Lead Assignment rule is selected, the rule will be evaluated on all updates to and inserts of Leads as well as when Leads are merged by the SingleTableDedupe.
- A warning will be given when the rule is in use and about to be run by MassImpact, MassEffect and MassChange-NO WARNING WILL BE GIVEN FOR THE SINGLE TABLE DEDUPE
- The selected rule will be evaluated during the use of DemandTools until the option setting is switched back to the "None" value.
Relogin Session Time:
- Applicable to:
- Can be set to 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or 8 hours
- Chosen interval should be less than or equal to the users Salesforce Session Timeout value
- Ex: chosen interval = 1 hour, DemandTools will ping Salesforce every hour in order to keep the connection live
- Default setting is 2 hours
Default Restore File Extension: (xlsx support new in DemandTools 2.2)
- Applicable to:
- MassChange
- MassImpact
- MassEffect
- Available extensions: .xls, .xlsx .csv & .mdb
- Consider the amount of data and the formatting requirements of the data when choosing a restore file extension
- .xls will support 65,536 rows of data
- .xlsx will support 1,048,576 rows of data
- The restore file extension can be changed as needed
- Default setting is .xls
